Conway buoyant ahead of Donington Park

The British F3 International Series picks up its thread at Donington Park next weekend (20/21 May) and Sevenoaks's Mike Conway is ready to seize rounds three and four of the championship at the historic circuit.

The Räikkönen Robertson Racing driver has a lot to look forward to, with the five-week build-up following Oulton Park yielding him the fastest times by more than half a second at Croft testing.

"We blew everyone away with our times at Croft, so we're right on track for a good weekend at Donington," said a relaxed Conway after a satisfying two-day test at Snetterton earlier in the week, where he also fronted as the pace-setter.

A further incentive for Conway is the prospect of being the first driver to recapture the Donington Park Racing Association Club's Raymond Mays Salver, awarded to the top British points' scorer of the British F3 weekend. "It's another element to the event and it brings an added local dimension to the two races," he said. "I was quite thrilled to win it last year-it's a special award for really great circuit."

Testing is on the Thursday with qualifying at 11.05 and 14:25 on Saturday, followed by race one at 10:30 and race two at 15:56 on Sunday 21 May.
