22 March 2006
British F3 driver Mike Conway heralded the official launch of the 2006 season by announcing logistics company Claridon and vehicle paint protection specialist Armourfend as new partners.
Managing Directors Chris Scott and Garry Gore were on hand at the launch and first officially-timed test for the year, where they viewed Conway's F3 Dallara, which they will be coating with Armourfend Paint Protection film. "We are delighted to be supporting Mike for the F3 Championship," said Chris Scott.
Armourfend's Garry Gore added: "We've found the ideal marketing platform in Mike. Armourfend specialise in protecting cars; we've had a strong presence with sportscars and we're now looking to expand further across the racing spectrum where we see lots of potential from the transporters through to single-seaters."
Conway said, "It's exciting to have Claridon and Armourfend on board. The paint protection technology is very effective so I'm really pleased to have it protecting my car and helmet this year and it's a great opportunity to assist in raising their profile."
The Raikkonen Robertson Racing driver added: "This partnership is a great addition to a fantastic group of sponsors I have supporting me in my F3 campaign. It's wonderful to have such excellent people behind me and I hope to do them all very proud."
Conway ran quickest at the test with a time of 1.15.266.
