CONWAY TOPS SNETTERTON TEST
Snetterton, UK
3 March 2006
A ferociously cold two-day test at Snetterton yielded the fastest times for British F3 driver Mike Conway. Approximately 20 brave adversaries braced the biting conditions offered by the first days of spring, with Conway finishing well ahead on lap times yesterday.
ToshibaConway said, "I'm happy with the way things are going, we've progressed with the car and keep finding more time - and there's still more time to come," he promised.
Witnessing the performance from the Sevenoaks driver were Paul Rooney and David Jones, executives from Sparshatts of Kent Ltd, the Mercedes-Benz truck dealership partnering Conway in this year's British Formula 3 International Series.
"It's great to have Sparshatts as a Mercedes dealer on board," said the Raikkonen Robertson Racing driver. "It furthers our connection with Mercedes-Benz; being powered by them in their first year of British F3 has created a very natural association with the Kent dealership."
The next F3 group test at Croft on March 7-8, where Conway will be looking to maintain his leading edge.
