Mike Conway ( Sevenoaks , Kent ) welcomed his 2006 British Formula 3 season when, together with his principal partner Toshiba, he launched his car at the new Raikkonen Robertson Racing workshop in Woking , Surrey.
Toshiba TEC MD Adam Sheppard and Conway unveiled the new model on Monday, to reveal a striking livery replete with the Toshiba branding.
After the launch, Steve Hewson, Group Marketing Manager for Toshiba TEC UK Imaging Systems, said, "It's a very proud moment for Toshiba; the car looks stunning. We are thrilled to be partnering Mike again for his second season of Formula 3 and wish him all the best."
Conway's Dallara chassis also features Stingray Media Solutions Limited, the media and design company that have supported Mike since 1999 and recently relaunched Conway's website; Sparshatts of Kent Ltd, the Mercedes-Benz truck dealership; THB Clowes, whose partnership with Conway's management, 2MB Sports Management, was announced last week, and Sutton Images, who are also backing Conway again this year.
A quietly pleased Conway thanked all involved. "It's great to have everyone on board - I'm very grateful for your support, thank you very much." he said. "It's been really nice to have everyone from Toshiba down at the workshop today to get an insight into what the race team is all about and to see the car close up."
He added he was happy the season was underway: "I am really pleased everything is kicking off now, we've been working hard over the past few months to get everything ready and it's going well. I feel very fortunate to have such dedicated sponsors behind me and hope to bring home the results with Double R this year."
Conway will be working with Toshiba to announce the launch of some new models within the Toshiba e-STUDIO range of multifunctional products in May.
