2MB SPORTS MANAGEMENT SIGN MIKE CONWAY

2MB Sports Management Directors Martin Brundle and Mark Blundell are pleased to announce they have signed British racing driver Mike Conway. The two ex-Formula 1 drivers have teamed up with the Sevenoaks racer after flagging him earlier in the year as a talent to watch.
The signing comes off the back of Conway's impressive showing at the Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix, where his blistering lap times in his debut outing at the infamously unforgiving circuit put him in the spotlight as the stand-out appearance in the showcase event.
Mark Blundell said, "2MB has monitored Mike's progress throughout this season and were very impressed with his commitment and speed. His Macau performance on his first visit to such a tough track was a great indication of his talent."
The drive came hot on the tail of a successful year in the British Formula 3 International Series, where Conway came third in his rookie season driving Fortec Motorsport's Opel-powered Dallara.
The former British karting Champion and Formula Renault title holder said he was looking forward to furthering his racing career with the management team. "I am very happy to be on board. From our first meeting the chemistry was right," he said. "I have a great deal of confidence knowing I have the infrastructure and support of 2MB Sports Management behind me. They are two drivers with a wealth of experience who are still very much in the game and have a lot to offer as management, so it is great to have that resource at hand."
Conway said his signing with 2MB came at an ideal time and is the first step in consolidating his plans for next season. "Up until two months ago things were still up in the air and now with 2MB we are forging my 2006 plans," said the 22-year-old.
Conway is expected to make an announcement in the near future confirming his seat for next year.
