DRR Qualifies 4th and 10th for the Honda GP of St. Petersburg

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing proved that they were ready to continue their success on road/street courses as they qualified in the top ten for tomorrow's race. Justin Wilson, pilot of the No.22 Z-Line Designs machine, qualified fourth for the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, marking the second time in a row that the team has made it into the fast six this year. His teammate, Mike Conway, pilot of the No. 24 Dad's Root Beer car, will start 10th for tomorrow's event.

Wilson continued to show his blistering speed today. The Briton didn't hold back as he came on strong during qualifying. Wilson made his third qualifying attempt at the St. Petersburg circuit and battled his way through the sessions and made it to the fast six for the second time this season. The veteran recorded a time of 1:02.1992 (104.181 mph), giving him a 4th place starting position.  

Mike Conway had a good solid day in qualifying. The Brit diligently chipped away all weekend and finally found the right pieces to make it into the fast twelve. Unfortunately, traffic played a part for Conway as he diligently worked to make it into the fast six, but he was nudged out in the end. Conway will start 10th (1:02.0434, 104.443 mph) on the grid for tomorrow's race.  

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing will be on track for the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 28th. Justin Wilson, No. 22 Z-Line Designs: "I'm pretty happy to be starting 4th in the race and it's great to have made it to the Firestone Fast Six for the second time in as many races. The Z-Line Designs car was fast, but we used up our two sets of red Firestones to get into the final session. In the Fast Six my brakes were going away every lap and I decided not to push it and get myself in trouble, so I parked the car in the final minutes. I'm looking forward to the race tomorrow."  

Mike Conway, No. 24 Dad's Root Beer: "Today was okay and we worked on the problems from the third practice and got the car better. There are just a few little areas that we need to work on again. In all fairness, I didn't quite get my lap together because I caught a car on my quickest lap. That's qualifying sometimes and you just can't help that. All in all, P10 is not too bad. We are definite! ly up there and anything can happen during the race. We will just work on a few things tonight and in the warm-up tomorrow and we will see what we have. Overall, I don't think we are looking too bad."
