After the bad break experienced yesterday, Trident Racing finally brought the two team's car to the finish on the second race of the weekend at Barcelona. Mike Conway ended up in 8th after completing several passes with no mistakes, while Ho Pin Tung paid a spin happened at lap 8 that forced him to restart from 22nd after climbing up to 14th. It was a reasonably good day for Trident, that finally allowed the staff to see their true potential, undisclosed until now after yesterday's double DNF at lap 1.

The first race of the 2008 GP2 Main Series wasn't particularly lucky for Trident Racing. Both Mike Conway and Ho Pin Tung were forced to retire during lap 1, due to unavoidable incidents. The contacts, apart from preventing the drivers from scoring points, will penalize the start of Race 2, scheduled for tomorrow morning at 10:30. The duo will start from the 24th and 25th position, while the team is working hard to recover from today's bad break and prepare a comeback in the final race of the weekend.

The 2008 GP2 Main Series got officially underway today at Barcelona. The first qualifying session determined the starting line-up for tomorrow's Race 1. Mike Conway scored the 10th fastest lap, in a session slowed by many yellow flag situation and stopped by a red. The interruption fractioned the 30 minutes available, penalizing several drivers. Ho Pin Tung ended up in 16th, without a huge margin from the top-10. Trident Racing is now concentrating on the race, starting tomorrow at 16:00. The team will be trying to score the maximum amount of points in order to have a good starting position for Race 2.

Trident Racing completes aero testing at Lurcy-Lèvi
Trident Racing successfully completed a valuable testing session held on the French Lurcy-Lèvis track. The team conducted aerodynamic tests on the 2008 Formula Master package, under the technical supervision of engineers Riccardo Ficca and Stefano Versari.
Conway joins Trident Racing for 2008 GP2 Main Series
Trident Racing is pleased to announce the signing of Mike Conway, who will be competing with the team in the 2008 GP2 Series. The British driver enters his second season of GP2 competition with the team owned by Maurizio Salvadori. Conway began his GP2 career last season, proving himself as one of the top rookies in the Series. Winning the British Formula 3 and Formula Renault UK titles has already singled him out as one of the most successful drivers from the British development series' and with his victory at the Macau Grand Prix in 2006 he has established himself as a leading British driver. In 2007 Honda Racing F1 team signed him to their Young Driver Development Programme.
